The author took bits and peaces of his own life and inter mixed them into the books so that it makes for a more interesting read. It also gives the reader something more because the reader then gets to decide what is real and what is not. Anyone who is a fan of Pauls will tell you that reading his work is like sitting by the firepit having someone tell you a story. Paul looks at him self as a story teller more than anything else.
